Karṇa-kuṇḍala-kavaca-jijñāsā; Kuntibhoja’s hospitality and Pṛthā’s appointment (कर्णकुण्डलकवचजिज्ञासा)
ते दृश्यमाना हरिभिव॑लिभिर्दूरपातिभि: । निहता: सर्वशो राजन् महीं जग्मुर्गतासव:,फिर तो वे सभी राक्षस वानरोंकी दृष्टिमें आ गये। राजन! वानर बलवान तो थे ही, वे दूरतक उछलकर जानेकी शक्ति रखते थे। वे सब ओरसे कूद-कूदकर उन्हें मारने लगे। उनकी मार खाकर वे सभी राक्षस प्राणशून्य होकर पृथ्वीपर गिर पड़े
te dṛśyamānā haribhir balibhir dūrapātibhiḥ | nihatāḥ sarvaśo rājan mahīṃ jagmur gatāsavaḥ ||
Então aqueles rākṣasas ficaram plenamente à vista dos poderosos guerreiros Vānara, capazes de saltos longínquos. Ó Rei, os macacos os golpearam de todos os lados, saltando e atacando repetidas vezes; e, abatidos, todos aqueles rākṣasas tombaram por terra, já sem vida.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
Violent wrongdoing meets its end when confronted by disciplined strength and collective action; the verse highlights the inevitability of consequences in a righteous struggle.
The rākṣasas come into view of the powerful, far-leaping Vānara warriors, who attack from all sides; the rākṣasas are killed and fall lifeless to the ground.
