Sūrya’s Counsel to Karṇa on Kīrti and the Kuṇḍala
सर्वराक्षसराज्ये चाप्यभ्यषिज्चद् विभीषणम् । चक्रे च मन्त्रसचिवं सुहृदं लक्ष्मणस्थ च
sarvarākṣasarājye cāpy abhyasiñcad vibhīṣaṇam | cakre ca mantrasacivaṁ suhṛdaṁ lakṣmaṇaś ca ||
Disse Mārkaṇḍeya: “E sobre todo o reino dos Rākṣasas ele consagrou Vibhīṣaṇa como rei; e também nomeou Lakṣmaṇa—seu amigo de confiança—como ministro e conselheiro. Assim, após a vitória, o governo foi estabelecido não por mera força, mas por investidura legítima, conselho e leal amizade.”
