Sūrya’s Counsel to Karṇa on Kīrti and the Kuṇḍala
इत्येवं ब्रुवत: श्रुत्वा रामस्य वरुणालय: । उवाच व्यथितो वाक्यमिति बद्धाञ्जलि: स्थित:,श्रीरामचन्द्रजीका यह वचन सुनकर वरुणालय समुद्र व्यथित हो उठा और खड़े हुए हाथ जोड़कर बोला--
ity evaṁ bruvataḥ śrutvā rāmasya varuṇālayaḥ | uvāca vyathito vākyam iti baddhāñjaliḥ sthitaḥ ||
Mārkaṇḍeya disse: Ao ouvir Rama falar desse modo, o oceano—morada de Varuṇa—estremeceu de aflição. Então, de pé e com as mãos postas, dirigiu-se a Rama com estas palavras—
