Mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | Rāghavaḥ saha Saumitriḥ Sugrīveṇābhipālitaḥ | vasan Mālyavataḥ pṛṣṭhe dadṛśe vimalaṃ nabhaḥ ||
Mārkaṇḍeya disse: Ó Yudhiṣṭhira, Rāma, juntamente com Lakṣmaṇa, protegido sob a guarda de Sugrīva, habitou nas encostas do monte Mālyavat. Passado algum tempo, quando a estação das chuvas se dissipou, viram o céu tornar-se puro e sem nuvens—um sinal exterior de que chegara o momento de renovar o esforço e agir com fidelidade.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic perseverance supported by righteous alliance: when protected by a trustworthy ally (Sugrīva), one can endure hardship and, when conditions become favorable (the sky clearing), renew purposeful action rather than remain in grief or delay.
Mārkaṇḍeya narrates that Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa are living on Mount Mālyavat under Sugrīva’s protection; after time passes and the rainy season ends, they see the sky become clear—setting the stage for the next phase of the search for Sītā.
