Sāvitrī’s Trirātra-Vrata and Departure with Satyavān (सावित्रीव्रतनिश्चयः सहगमनं च)
Preciso ver.”
The verse suggests that intense sorrow and fear can distort righteous conduct—Rama’s urgent concern for Sita is natural, yet his reproach of Lakshmana warns that ethical speech and fairness can falter under emotional pressure, especially within close relationships.
Markandeya narrates a moment where Rama, distressed about Sita (Vaidehi), hastens to Lakshmana while still blaming him, and asks in anguish whether Sita is alive or not, insisting on verifying her condition.
