निरीक्षते त्वां विपुलायताक्ष: सुपुष्पित: पर्वतवासनित्य: । इनके बाद जो ये महान् धनुष धारण किये सुन्दर फूलोंकी मालाएँ पहने विशाल नेत्रोंवाले वीर तुम्हें निहार रहे हैं, कुलिन्दराजके ज्येष्ठ पुत्र हैं। वे सदा पर्वतपर ही निवास करते हैं
nirīkṣate tvāṃ vipulāyatākṣaḥ supuṣpitaḥ parvatavāsanityaḥ | mahān dhanuṣ-dhārī sundara-puṣpa-mālābharaṇaḥ viśāla-netro vīras tvāṃ nihārayan tiṣṭhati | sa kulindarājasya jyeṣṭhaḥ putraḥ | sa sadā parvate eva nivāsam karoti |
Ele te observa—de olhos amplos, ornado de flores esplêndidas, habitante constante das montanhas. Esse grande herói, empunhando um arco poderoso e usando belas grinaldas, está de pé a fitar-te. É o filho primogénito do rei dos Kulindas, e vive sempre na montanha.
