रावणोत्पत्तिः—तपसा वरलाभश्च

भवतो भ्रातर: शूरा: सर्व एवास्त्रकोविदा: । कुलान्यल्पावशिष्टानि कृतवन्तो वनौकसाम्,“आपके सभी भाई शूरवीर एवं अस्त्रविद्याके पण्डित हैं। इन्होंने हम वनवासी हिंसक पशुओंके कुलोंको थोड़ी ही संख्यामें जीवित छोड़ा है
bhavato bhrātaraḥ śūrāḥ sarva evāstrakovidāḥ | kulāny alpāvaśiṣṭāni kṛtavanto vanaukasām ||
Disse Vaiśampāyana: “Todos os teus irmãos são heróis valentes, e cada um é versado na ciência das armas. Eles deixaram apenas um pequeno remanescente das linhagens dos habitantes da floresta.”
