Duryodhana Seized by Citraseṇa; Kaurava Petition to Yudhiṣṭhira (दुर्योधनापहारः / चित्रसेनगन्धर्वग्रहणम्)
|। तेषां प्रशमनं कार्य स्नान धूपमथाञ्जनम् | बलिकर्मोपहाराशक्ष् स्कन्दस्येज्याविशेषत:,स्नान, धूप, अज्जन, बलिकर्म, उपहार अर्पण तथा स्कन्ददेवकी विशेष पूजा करके इन स्कन्दग्रहोंकी शान्ति करनी चाहिये
teṣāṁ praśamanaṁ kāryaṁ snāna-dhūpam athāñjanam | bali-karmopahārāś ca skandasyejyā-viśeṣataḥ ||
Disse Mārkaṇḍeya: “Para apaziguar essas forças (que afligem como Skanda), devem-se realizar ritos de propiciação — banho ritual, oferta de incenso e aplicação de unguentos protetores; juntamente com oferendas bali e outras dádivas. Em especial, isso deve ser feito por meio de um culto particular oferecido a Skanda.”
