चित्रसेनगन्धर्वैः कौरवसंनिपातः
Citrasena and the Kaurava engagement
अभयं च पुनर्दत्तं त्वयैवैषां सुरोत्तम । तस्मादिन्द्रो भवानस्तु त्रैलोक्यस्याभयंकर:,सुरश्रेष्ठ! फिर तुम्हींने इन सब लोकोंको अभय दान दिया है। अत: आजसे तुम इन्द्र होकर रहो और तीनों लोकोंके भयका निवारण करो
abhayaṃ ca punardattaṃ tvayaivaiṣāṃ surottama | tasmād indro bhavān astu trailokyasyābhayaṃkaraḥ ||
Disse Markandeya: “Ó melhor dos deuses, foste tu, e só tu, quem restituiu a destemor a estes mundos. Portanto, a partir de hoje, sê Indra—aquele que remove o medo dos três mundos.”
