Kaurava Court Hears of the Pāṇḍavas’ Forest Hardship
The verse highlights how extraordinary outcomes arise when great forces converge: radiance (tejas) and divine qualities (guṇa) signal legitimacy and destiny in cosmic unions, reminding the listener to read events not only as spectacle but as purposeful order.
Mārkaṇḍeya describes an awe-inspiring conjunction—Fire, Sun, and Moon appearing together—then links this omen-like meeting to a destined lineage: Soma will beget a son who will become the husband of a goddess, while Agni is affirmed as a fully qualified divine power within this convergence.
