Educational Q&A

The verse frames violence as ethically bounded: force is employed to restrain those who threaten the divine and social order. It highlights the duty to protect dharma by opposing aggressors who are hostile to the gods and the established moral cosmos.

Vāyu narrates a battle episode: he takes up a splendid bow and, with arrows, strikes down the god-hating demons, making their severed heads fall from Saubha, the aerial fortress associated with the enemy.
