Skanda’s Consecration as Devasenāpati
कुमारश्न यथोत्पन्नो यथा चाग्ने: सुतो5भवत् | यथा रुद्राच्च सम्भूतो गड़ायां कृत्तिकासु च,कुमार कार्तिकेयकी उत्पत्ति कैसे हुई? वे अग्निके पुत्र कैसे हुए? भगवान् शंकरने तथा गंगादेवी और कृत्तिकाओंसे उनका जन्म कैसे सम्भव हुआ?
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca |
kumāraḥ kathaṃ yathotpannaḥ yathā cāgneḥ suto 'bhavat |
yathā rudrācca sambhūto gaṅgāyāṃ kṛttikāsu ca ||
Yudhiṣṭhira disse: “Como nasceu o jovem deus Kumāra? De que modo ele se tornou filho de Agni, o Deus do Fogo? E como seu nascimento veio a ligar-se a Rudra (Śiva), à deusa-rio Gaṅgā e às Kṛttikās?”
