आरण्यकपर्वणि अध्यायः २१६ — इन्द्र-स्कन्द-संमुखता वज्रप्रहारश्च
Indra approaches Skanda; vajra strike and the arising of Viśākha
त्वया विनिकृता माता पिता च द्विजसत्तम | अनिसृष्टोडसि निष्क्रान्तो गृहात् ताभ्यामनिन्दित
tvayā vinikṛtā mātā pitā ca dvijasattama | anisṛṣṭo 'si niṣkrānto gṛhāt tābhyām anindita ||
O caçador disse: “Ó melhor dos brâmanes, tu ofendeste tua mãe e teu pai. Sem ter sido liberado por eles, saíste de casa—embora sejas irrepreensível por nascimento. No dharma, deixar os pais sem o consentimento deles é, por si, uma falta, pois servi-los é uma obrigação primordial.”
