Skanda-janma: Śivā/Svāhā, Agni, and the Manifestation of Guha

Mahābhārata 3.214

तपोनित्येन दान्तेन मुनिना संयतात्मना | अजित जेतुकामेन भाव्यं सड्लेष्वसज्धिना,जो जितेन्द्रिय है, जिसने मनपर अधिकार प्राप्त कर लिया है तथा जो अजित पदको जीतनेकी इच्छा करता है, नित्य तपस्यामें संलग्न रहनेवाले उस मुनिको आसक्ति-जनक भोगोंसे अलग--अनासक्त रहना चाहिये

“O muni, sempre dedicado à austeridade, domado e de si mesmo senhor, com a alma contida, que venceu os sentidos e deseja conquistar o ainda não conquistado, deve viver sem apego, afastado dos gozos que geram ligação.”
