Adhyāya 208: Aṅgirasī-kanyāḥ

Enumeration of Aṅgiras’ daughters and attribute-names

एवं सन्‍्तो वर्तमानास्त्वेधन्ते शाश्वती: समा: । अहिंसा सत्यवचनमानृशंस्यमथार्जवम्‌

evaṁ santaḥ pravartamānās tv edhante śāśvatīḥ samāḥ | ahiṁsā satyavacanaṁ mānṛśaṁsyam athārjavam ||

Assim, aqueles que vivem e se conduzem como pessoas verdadeiramente virtuosas continuam a florescer por anos imperecíveis. Não violência, fala verdadeira, compaixão (ausência de crueldade) e integridade reta — são essas as qualidades que sustentam tal vida e a tornam próspera.
