पाद्यमाचमनीयं वै ददौ भर्तुस्तथा55सनम्‌ | प्रह्मा पर्यचरच्चापि भर्तारमसितेक्षणा

Transliteration

pādyam ācamanīyaṃ vai dadau bhartus tathāsanam | brahmā paryacarac cāpi bhartāram asitekṣaṇā ||

Translation

Disse Mārkaṇḍeya: Ela ofereceu ao marido água para lavar os pés e água para sorver segundo o rito de hospitalidade, e também lhe providenciou um assento. A dama de olhos escuros ainda assistiu o esposo com serviço reverente—conduta condizente com o dharma e com a fidelidade conjugal.
