मातापितृपूजन-प्रधानधर्मः (Primacy of Filial Service) — Mārkaṇḍeya’s Account of the Vyādha’s Instruction
नारायणेन कौरव्य तेजसा55प्यायितस्तदा । स गतो नृपतिः: क्षिप्र॑ पुत्रैस्तै: सर्वतो दिशम्
nārāyaṇena kauravya tejasāpyāyitas tadā | sa gato nṛpatiḥ kṣipraṁ putrais taiḥ sarvato diśam ||
Disse Mārkaṇḍeya: “Ó descendente dos Kurus, então aquele rei, revigorado e fortalecido pelo fulgor divino de Nārāyaṇa, partiu depressa com aqueles filhos, espalhando-se por todas as direções.”
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse highlights that divine support (Nārāyaṇa’s tejas) can restore strength and clarity, enabling swift, purposeful action. Ethically, it suggests that rightful endeavor is most effective when grounded in higher guidance rather than mere personal force.
Mārkaṇḍeya tells Yudhiṣṭhira that a certain king, having been invigorated by Nārāyaṇa’s radiance, promptly departs with his sons/companions, dispersing in all directions—indicating an urgent mission or wide-ranging movement.
