ततो व्योम महाराज शतसूर्यमिवाभवत् । शतचन्द्रं च कौन्तेय सहस्नायुततारकम्,कुन्तीपुत्र महाराज युधिष्ठिर! इसके बाद आकाश सौ सूर्योसे उदभासित-सा दिखायी देने लगा। उसमें सैकड़ों चन्द्रमा और करोड़ों तारे दिखायी देने लगे
tato vyoma mahārāja śatasūryam ivābhavat | śatacandraṃ ca kaunteya sahasrāyutatārakam ||
Então, ó grande rei, o céu pareceu como se estivesse iluminado por cem sóis. Ó filho de Kuntī, ele também brilhou com cem luas e com estrelas aos milhares e dezenas de milhares—uma manifestação celeste assombrosa, sinal de uma virada decisiva carregada de força divina.
