स चेम॑ संकुलं लोकं प्रसादमुपनेष्यति । उत्थितो ब्राह्मणो दीप्त: क्षयान्तकृदुदारधी:,वह उदारबुद्धि, तेजस्वी ब्राह्मण, दुःखसे व्याप्त हुए इस जगत्‌को आनन्द प्रदान करेगा। कलियुगका अन्त करनेके लिये ही उसका प्रादुर्भाव होगा

Transliteration

sa cemaṁ saṅkulaṁ lokaṁ prasādam upaneṣyati | utthito brāhmaṇo dīptaḥ kṣayāntakṛd udāradhīḥ ||

Translation

E Mārkaṇḍeya disse: “Ele trará alento e clareza a este mundo, agora caído em tumulto. Erguendo-se como um brâmane radiante—nobre em intelecto e intenção—tornar-se-á o agente que põe fim ao declínio da era, surgindo precisamente para encerrar o curso opressivo do Kali-yuga e restaurar o bem-estar.”
