एकाहार्य युगं सर्व लोभमोहव्यवस्थितम् । अधर्मों वर्द्धते तत्र न तु धर्म: प्रवर्तते,युगके सब लोग लोभ और मोहमें फँसकर भक्ष्याभक्ष्यका विचार किये बिना ही एक साथ सम्मिलित होकर भोजन करने लगेंगे। अधर्म बढ़ेगा और धर्म विदा हो जायगा
ekāhāryaṁ yugaṁ sarvaṁ lobhamohavyavasthitam | adharmo varddhate tatra na tu dharmaḥ pravartate ||
Disse Mārkaṇḍeya: “Nessa era, todos ficarão fixos na cobiça e na ilusão, vivendo de uma única refeição indiscriminada. Ali, o adharma crescerá, enquanto o dharma não encontrará base nem prática.”
