अध्याय १९० — वामदेव-वाम्य-वृत्तान्तः

The Vāmadeva Horses Episode and the Ethics of Promise

विहित: सर्वथैवासी ममात्मा भूतभावन: । अर्ध मम शरीरस्य सर्वलोकपितामह:,समस्त जगत्‌में भक्त पुरुष सब प्रकारसे मेरी आराधना करते हैं। तुमने मेरे निकट आकर जो कुछ भी क्लेश उठाया है, ब्रह्मन! वह सब तुम्हारे भावी कल्याण और सुखका साधक है। अनघ! लोकमें तुमने जो कोई भी स्थावर-जंगम पदार्थ देखा है, उसके रूपमें सर्वथा मेरा भूत-भावन आत्मा ही प्रकट हुआ है। सम्पूर्ण लोकोंके पितामह ब्रह्मा मेरा आधा अंग हैं

vihitaḥ sarvathaivāsī mamātmā bhūta-bhāvanaḥ | ardhaṁ mama śarīrasya sarva-loka-pitāmahaḥ ||

A Divindade disse: “De todas as maneiras estás estabelecido em Mim; o Meu próprio Ser—que faz manifestarem-se todos os seres—está revelado. Qualquer provação que tenhas suportado ao aproximar-te de Mim, ó brāhmaṇa, torna-se o meio do teu bem-estar e da tua felicidade futuros. Ó irrepreensível, tudo quanto viste no mundo, móvel ou imóvel, não é senão o Meu próprio ser, fonte das criaturas, aparecendo nessa forma. E Brahmā, o avô de todos os mundos, é como se fosse metade do Meu corpo.”
