नृत्यमानमिवोर्मीभिर्गर्जमानमिवाम्भसा । क्षोभ्यमाणा महावातै: सा नौस्तस्मिन् महोदधौ
nṛtyamānam ivormibhir garjamānam ivāmbhasā | kṣobhyamāṇā mahāvātaiḥ sā naus tasmin mahodadhau ||
Mārkaṇḍeya disse: “Na vastidão do oceano, o barco—fustigado por ventos impetuosos—parecia dançar entre as ondas e rugir com o bramido das águas.”
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse underscores human fragility before overwhelming natural forces, implying the ethical need for steadiness and endurance when circumstances become turbulent and uncontrollable.
Mārkaṇḍeya describes a boat in a vast ocean, shaken by strong winds and waves; its motion looks like dancing, while the waters seem to roar—an intense depiction of danger and agitation.
