बीजान्यादाय सर्वाणि सागर पुप्लुवे तदा । नौकया शुभया वीर महोर्मिणमरिंदम,शत्रुदमन! वे दोनों एक-दूसरेसे विदा लेकर इच्छानुसार वहाँसे चले गये। महाराज! तदनन्तर मनु मत्स्यभगवान्के कथनानुसार सम्पूर्ण बीज लेकर एक सुन्दर नौकाद्वारा उत्ताल तरंगोंसे भरे हुए महासागरमें तैरने लगे
bījāny ādāya sarvāṇi sāgare pupluve tadā | naukayā śubhayā vīra mahormīṇam ariṃdama śatrudamana ||
Disse Mārkaṇḍeya: “Então, tendo reunido todas as sementes, lançou-se ao oceano. Ó herói, esmagador de inimigos, subjugador de adversários: numa embarcação auspiciosa, flutuou sobre aquele mar de ondas altíssimas, cumprindo exatamente o que o Peixe divino lhe ordenara.”
