तथा बहुविधाकारा प्रावृण्मेघानुनादिता । अभ्यतीता शिवा तेषां चरतां मरुधन्वसु,पाण्डव अभी मरुप्रदेशमें ही विचरते थे, तभी मेघोंकी गर्जनासे गूँजती तथा अनेक प्रकारके रूप-रंग लिये प्रकट हुई मंगलमयी वर्षा-ऋतु भी बीत गयी
tathā bahuvidhākārā prāvṛṇmeghānunāditā | abhyatītā śivā teṣāṃ caratāṃ marudhanvasu ||
Disse Vaiśampāyana: Assim, enquanto os Pāṇḍavas vagavam pela região de Marudhanva, árida como um deserto, também passou a auspiciosa estação das chuvas—ressoando com o trovão das nuvens de Prāvṛt e exibindo muitas formas mutáveis. O verso ressalta que o tempo e as estações seguem adiante mesmo em meio à provação, e que a resistência no exílio se sustenta ao aceitar os ciclos da natureza sem abandonar a determinação.
