Arjuna’s Arrival and Reunion on the Sacred Mountain
प्राहिणोद् भीमसेनाय वेगेन महता नदन् । उधर मणिमानने भी सिंहनाद करते हुए एक चमचमाता हुआ महान त्रिशूल हाथमें लिया और बड़े वेगसे भीमसेनपर चलाया
vaiśampāyana uvāca | prāhiṇod bhīmasenāya vegena mahatā nadan |
Disse Vaiśampāyana: Rugindo em alta voz e ganhando velocidade imensa, ele o arremessou contra Bhīmasena. Então Maṇimān, também bradando como um leão, tomou um grande tridente reluzente e, com grande ímpeto, lançou-o sobre Bhīmasena.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how raw power expresses itself through speed, roar, and assault; ethically, it points to the Mahābhārata’s recurring concern that strength must be restrained and directed by dharma, otherwise it becomes mere destructive rage.
In Vaiśampāyana’s narration, an assailant roars and, with great force and speed, launches an attack aimed at Bhīmasena—an immediate escalation into direct combat.
