Rājarṣi-samāgamaḥ — Yudhiṣṭhirasya Dharma-parīkṣā ca
Meeting the Royal Sage and a Dharmic Audit
The verse underscores dharma as restraint: one must prevent harm to spiritually accomplished sages. Power and capability are to be used proactively to avert wrongdoing (aparādha), especially against those who embody and teach Brahman.
The speaker urges immediate pursuit—relying on the addressee’s prowess—to locate the nocturnal beings (rajanīcarāḥ) quickly, so that an impending offense against siddha brahmavādin sages is prevented before it occurs.
