दर्शयन्तो भयं तीव्रं प्रादुर्भूता:ः समन्तत: । त॑ तथावादिन कृष्णा प्रत्युवाच मनस्विनी । प्रिया प्रियं चिकीर्षन्ती महिषी चारुहासिनी
darśayanto bhayaṃ tīvraṃ prādurbhūtāḥ samantataḥ | taṃ tathāvādinaṃ kṛṣṇā pratyuvāca manasvinī | priyā priyaṃ cikīrṣantī mahiṣī cāru-hāsinī
Por toda parte, sinais aterradores se manifestaram, exibindo um medo intenso. Então Kṛṣṇā—de ânimo firme, a amada rainha de sorriso suave—respondeu a quem falava assim, desejosa de fazer o que fosse querido e benéfico.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even when fearsome signs arise on all sides, the text highlights steadiness of mind and purposeful speech: Kṛṣṇā responds with resolve, aiming to do what is truly dear and beneficial rather than being ruled by panic.
Amid the manifestation of frightening portents everywhere, Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī), described as resolute and queenly, answers someone who has just spoken—positioning her reply as deliberate and motivated by concern for what is best.
