सक्तचक्षुरभिप्रायान् हृदयेनानुचिन्तयन् । पुंस्कोकिलनिनादेषु षघट्पदाचरितेषु च
saktacakṣur abhiprāyān hṛdayenānucintayan | puṁskokilaninādeṣu ṣaṭpadācariteṣu ca
Vaiśampāyana disse: Com o olhar preso e o coração a revolver, vez após vez, a sua intenção, ele escutava o canto dos cucos machos e observava os lugares frequentados pelas abelhas — absorto em reflexão interior entre os sons e sinais da floresta.
