सौगन्धिकपुष्पप्रसङ्गः — The Saugaṇdhika Lotus and Bhīma’s Approach to Hanūmān
विवेश शोभया युक्त भ्रातृभिश्च सहानघ । ब्राह्माणैवेंदवेदाड़पारगैश्व सहस्रश:,उन्होंने भाइयों तथा द्रौपदीके साथ इन्द्रभवनके समान मनोरम और दिव्य सुगन्धसे परिपूर्ण उस स्वर्ग-सदृश शोभाशाली पुण्यमय नर-नारायण आश्रममें प्रवेश किया। अनघ! उनके साथ ही वेद-वेदांगोंके पारंगत विद्वान् सहस्ौ्रों ब्राह्मण भी प्रविष्ट हुए
viveśa śobhayā yuktaḥ bhrātṛbhiś ca sahānagha | brāhmaṇair eva vedavedāṅgapāragaiś ca sahasraśaḥ ||
Ó irrepreensível, ele entrou no eremitério de Nara e Nārāyaṇa, radiante e pleno de mérito—esplêndido como a morada de Indra e impregnado de fragrância divina—junto com seus irmãos e com Draupadī. E com eles também entraram milhares de brāhmaṇas eruditos, versados nos Vedas e nos Vedāṅgas.
घटोत्कच उवाच
The verse highlights that true auspicious progress is marked by association with sacred places and learned, disciplined people: spiritual merit (puṇya), reverence for Vedic learning, and righteous companionship are presented as protective and elevating forces alongside heroic capability.
The party—together with the brothers and Draupadī—enters the famed Nara-Nārāyaṇa hermitage, described as heavenlike and fragrant; thousands of brāhmaṇas skilled in the Vedas and Vedāṅgas enter as well, emphasizing the hermitage’s sanctity and the scale of the accompanying learned retinue.
