Ghaṭotkaca’s Conveyance to Badarī and Entry into the Nara-Nārāyaṇa Āśrama

The verse highlights moral accountability: Yudhiṣṭhira interprets Draupadī’s present hardship as the consequence of his own wrongdoing, stressing that a leader’s ethical lapses can bring suffering upon dependents and loved ones.
Yudhiṣṭhira recalls Drupada’s marriage-blessing that Draupadī would be happy with the Pāṇḍavas. Contrasting that promise with her current condition—exhausted by grief and the rigors of wandering—he laments that his actions have led to her misery.
