Arrogance, Boons, and Nimitta
यवक्रीत उवाच एवं करिष्ये मा ताप॑ं तात कार्षी: कथंचन । यथा हि मे भवान् मान्यस्तथा रैभ्य: पिता मम,यवक्रीत बोले--पिताजी! मैं ऐसा ही करूँगा, आप किसी तरह मनमें संताप न करें। जैसे आप मेरे माननीय हैं, वैसे रैभ्यमुनि मेरे लिये पिताके समान हैं
Yavakrīta uvāca: evaṁ kariṣye mā tāpaṁ tāta kārṣīḥ kathaṁcana | yathā hi me bhavān mānyas tathā raibhyas pitā mama ||
Yavakrīta disse: “Farei exatamente assim. Pai, não sintas aflição alguma. Pois, assim como tu és digno da minha reverência, também o é o sábio Raibhya—para mim, ele é como um pai.”
