Arrogance, Boons, and Nimitta
वालुकामुष्टिमनिशं भागीरथ्यां व्यसर्जयत् । सेतुमभ्यारभच्छक्रो यवक्रीतं निदर्शयन्,वे निरन्तर एक-एक मुट्ठी बालू गंगाजीमें छोड़ते थे और इस प्रकार उन्होंने यवक्रीतको दिखाकर पुल बाँधनेका कार्य आरम्भ कर दिया
vālukā-muṣṭim aniśaṃ bhāgīrathyāṃ vyasarjayat | setum abhyārabhac chakro yavakrītaṃ nidarśayan ||
Śakra (Indra) continuava a lançar, sem cessar, punhado após punhado de areia na Bhāgīrathī (o Gaṅgā). E, apontando Yavakrīta como exemplo, deu início ao trabalho de erguer um setu, um dique-ponte. O episódio ressalta que até atos aparentemente pequenos, repetidos com firmeza e guiados por um modelo digno, podem iniciar grandes empreendimentos.
