Kirmīra-rākṣasa-saṃgamaḥ (Encounter and Slaying of Kirmīra) | किर्मीरेण सह भीमसेनसमागमः
कृत्वा तत् कर्म लोकानामृषभ: सर्वलोकजित् । अवधीस्त्वं रणे सर्वान् समेतान् दैत्यदानवान्,सम्पूर्ण लोकोंपर विजय पानेवाले आप लोकेश्चर प्रभुने वह कर्म करके सामना करनेके लिये आये हुए समस्त दैत्यों और दानवोंका युद्धस्थलमें वध किया
kṛtvā tat karma lokānām ṛṣabhaḥ sarvalokajit | avadhīs tvaṃ raṇe sarvān sametān daityadānavān ||
Arjuna disse: «Ó o mais eminente dos seres, conquistador de todos os mundos — tendo empreendido esse feito para o bem dos povos — abateste em batalha todos os Daityas e Dānavas que se haviam reunido para te enfrentar.»
अजुन उवाच
The verse presents warfare as ethically defensible when it is undertaken as duty for the protection of the world (lokānām) and the restoration of order, rather than from anger, greed, or personal ambition.
Arjuna addresses a supreme, world-conquering figure (praised as ṛṣabhaḥ, sarvalokajit) and recalls how that being performed a decisive act and, on the battlefield, killed the assembled Daityas and Dānavas who came to oppose him.
