यस्मिन् यज्ञे हि भूर्दत्ता कश्यपाय महात्मने | सपर्वतवनोद्देशा दक्षिणार्थे स्वयम्भुवा,उस यज्ञमें ब्रह्माजीने पर्वत और वनप्रान्तसहित यह सारी पृथ्वी महात्मा कश्यपको दक्षिणारूपमें दे दी थी
yasmin yajñe hi bhūr dattā kaśyapāya mahātmane | sa-parvata-vano-deśā dakṣiṇārthe svayambhuvā ||
Lomaśa disse: “Naquele sacrifício, Brahmā, o Auto-nascido, concedeu a terra inteira—com suas montanhas, florestas e regiões—como dakṣiṇā (a dádiva ritual) ao magnânimo Kaśyapa. O episódio ressalta a santidade das ofertas feitas no rito e a imensa responsabilidade de quem dá e de quem recebe quando riqueza e soberania são transferidas por meios conformes ao dharma.”
