शिरोश्रि: प्रपतद्धिश्चाप्यन्तरिक्षान्महीतलम् | तालैरिव महाराज व॒न्ताद् भ्रष्टरदृश्यत,महाराज! अपने मूल स्थानसे टूटकर गिरे हुए ताल-फलोंके समान आकाशसे गिरते हुए योद्धाओंके मस्तकों-द्वारा वहाँकी भूमि आच्छादित दिखायी देती थी
śirobhiḥ prapatadbhiś cāpy antarīkṣān mahītalam | tālair iva mahārāja vṛntād bhraṣṭair adṛśyata ||
Lomaśa disse: “Ó grande rei, o chão parecia coberto pelas cabeças dos guerreiros que caíam do céu — como frutos de palmeira que se desprenderam do cacho. A cena revelava o terrível custo da violência: corpos reduzidos a meros objetos, e a terra onerada pelos frutos da ira e do conflito.”
लोगश उवाच
The verse underscores the grim fruit of violence: in war, human life is reduced to a horrifying spectacle, reminding rulers and listeners that anger and conflict inevitably yield suffering and moral burden.
Lomaśa describes to the king a terrifying scene where warriors’ heads are seen falling from the sky and covering the ground, compared to palm-fruits dropping from their stalks—an image emphasizing the scale and horror of slaughter.
