अध्याय ८२ — केशवप्रयाणे निमित्तदर्शनम्
Omens and Reception During Keśava’s Departure
यदि वह मूर्ख आपकी कही हुई धर्म और अर्थसे युक्त, संतापनाशक, कल्याणकारी एवं हितकर बातें नहीं मानेगा तो अवश्य ही उसे कालके गालमें जाना पड़ेगा ।। श्रीभगवानुवाच धर्म्यमस्मद्धितं चैव कुरूणां यदनामयम् । एष यास्यामि राजानं धृतराष्ट्रमभीप्सया,श्रीभगवान् बोले--अर्जुन! जो धर्मसंगत, हमलोगोंके लिये हितकर तथा कौरवोंके लिये भी मंगलकारक हो, वही कार्य करनेके लिये मैं राजा धुृतराष्ट्रके समीप यात्रा करूँगा
śrībhagavān uvāca | dharmyam asmaddhitaṃ caiva kurūṇāṃ yad anāmayam | eṣa yāsyāmi rājānaṃ dhṛtarāṣṭram abhīpsayā ||
O Senhor Bem-aventurado disse: “Arjuna, irei ao rei Dhṛtarāṣṭra com a intenção de promover aquele curso de ação que é justo, benéfico para nós e também favorável ao bem-estar e à prosperidade dos Kurus—livre de dano e aflição.”
अजुन उवाच
Even amid looming conflict, one should first pursue a dharmic course that seeks the welfare of all parties. Kṛṣṇa frames his mission as righteous, beneficial to his own side, and also non-injurious and welfare-oriented for the Kurus, emphasizing ethical responsibility over partisan triumph.
In Udyoga Parva, as war approaches, Kṛṣṇa declares to Arjuna that he will go to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra. His purpose is to urge a course of action aligned with dharma and aimed at preventing harm—an explicit move toward counsel and reconciliation before battle becomes inevitable.
