Bhīmasena’s Assertion of Strength
Udyoga Parva, Adhyāya 74
As a chapter-colophon, the verse itself does not teach a new doctrine; it frames the preceding discourse as Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s ethically charged counsel that channels Bhīma’s power toward dharma, highlighting that strength should be guided by right purpose and wise instruction.
This is the formal closing line marking the end of the seventy-fifth chapter within the Bhagavad-yāna section of the Udyoga Parva, indicating that the preceding episode centered on Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s speech that stirred Bhīma’s resolve in the lead-up to the great conflict.
