समेत पार्थिव क्षत्र॑ दुर्योधनवशानुगम् । तेषां मध्यावतरणं तव कृष्ण न रोचये,इसके सिवा इस समय दुर्योधनके वशमें रहनेवाले भूमण्डलके सभी क्षत्रिय वहाँ एकत्र हुए हैं। उनके बीचमें आपका जाना मुझे अच्छा नहीं लगता
sametāḥ pārthiva-kṣatrā duryodhana-vaśānugāḥ | teṣāṁ madhyāvataraṇaṁ tava kṛṣṇa na rocaye ||
Yudhiṣṭhira disse: “Além disso, neste momento, todos os reis e senhores guerreiros da terra, submetidos à vontade de Duryodhana, estão reunidos ali. Ó Kṛṣṇa, não aprovo que desças ao meio deles.”
