Sañjaya on Janārdana’s Decisive Sovereignty
ततस्तन्मतमाज्ञाय संजयस्यात्मजस्य च । अभ्युपेत्य महाप्राज्ञ: कृष्णद्वैपायनोडब्रवीत्,तदनन्तर परम ज्ञानी श्रीकृष्णद्वैपायन व्यास सभा-भवनमें पहुँचकर संजय तथा अपने पुत्र धृतराष्ट्रके उस विचारको जानकर इस प्रकार बोले--
tatastanmatamājñāya sañjayasyātmajasya ca | abhyupetya mahāprājñaḥ kṛṣṇadvaipāyano 'bravīt ||
Então o grande sábio Kṛṣṇa Dvaipāyana (Vyāsa), compreendendo aquela intenção—tanto a de Sañjaya quanto a de seu próprio filho (Dhṛtarāṣṭra)—aproximou-se e falou. A narrativa assinala um momento decisivo: um ancião de sabedoria, discernindo a resolução íntima dos envolvidos, entra na assembleia real para aconselhá-los a um rumo conforme ao dharma, antes que os acontecimentos se endureçam em conflito irreversível.
