Saṃjaya’s Warning to Dhṛtarāṣṭra: Accountability, Alliance-Shift, and the Pāṇḍava Strategic Edge
तव पुत्रो महाराज नानुशोचितुमहसि । द्यूतकाले मया चोक्त विदुरेण च धीमता
tava putro mahārāja nānuśocitum arhasi | dyūtakāle mayā coktaṃ vidureṇa ca dhīmatā ||
Sañjaya disse: “Ó grande rei, não deves lamentar por teu filho. No tempo do jogo de dados, eu e o sábio Vidura te dissemos o mesmo: contém por todos os meios esse Duryodhana, teu filho pecaminoso—que há muito atormenta os Pāṇḍavas com conduta hostil e ainda agora os odeia—junto com seus companheiros. Não caias, vez após vez, nesta tristeza.”
