श्री: सुखस्येह संवास: सा चापि परिपन्थिनी । ब्राह्मी सुदुर्लभा श्रीहिं प्रज्ञाहीनेन क्षत्रिय

Transliteration

śrīḥ sukhasyeha saṃvāsaḥ sā cāpi paripanthinī | brāhmī sudurlabhā śrīḥ prajñāhīnena kṣatriya, rājan ||

Translation

Sanatsujāta disse: “Neste mundo, a prosperidade (śrī) é tida como a morada do conforto; e, no entanto, essa mesma prosperidade pode tornar-se um salteador no caminho do verdadeiro bem, obstruindo o bem mais elevado. Mas a prosperidade ‘brâmica’—a riqueza na forma do conhecimento de Brahman—é extremamente difícil de obter para um homem sem discernimento, ó rei kṣatriya.”
