न तथेच्छन्ति कल्याणान् परेषां वेदितुं गुणान् यथीैषां ज्ञातुमिच्छन्ति नैर्गुण्यं पापचेतस:,जिनका मन पापोंमें लगा रहता है, वे लोग दूसरोंके कल्याणमय गुणोंको जाननेकी वैसी इच्छा नहीं रखते, जैसी कि उनके अवगुणोंको जाननेकी रखते हैं
na tathecchanti kalyāṇān pareṣāṁ vedituṁ guṇān yathaivaiṣāṁ jñātum icchanti nairguṇyaṁ pāpacetasaḥ
