गतिरात्मवतां सन्त: सन््त एव सतां गति: । असतां च गति: सन््तो न त्वसन्त: सतां गति:,मनस्वी पुरुषोंको सहारा देनेवाले संत हैं; संतोंके भी सहारे संत ही हैं, दुष्टोंकी भी सहारा देनेवाले संत हैं, पर दुष्टलोग संतोंको सहारा नहीं देते
gatir ātmavatāṃ santaḥ santa eva satāṃ gatiḥ | asatāṃ ca gatiḥ santo na tv asantaḥ satāṃ gatiḥ ||
Disse Vidura: O refúgio dos que têm domínio de si são os bons; e, para os bons, somente os bons são refúgio. Até para os perversos, os bons se tornam amparo; mas os perversos jamais são amparo para os bons.
