Even amid political crisis, Yudhiṣṭhira upholds dharma through respectful speech and familial responsibility—ensuring that women of the household are acknowledged, greeted, and reassured. The verse highlights ethical kingship expressed as courtesy, care, and social propriety.
Yudhiṣṭhira instructs Sañjaya to go and meet the Pandavas’ daughters-in-law—women from noble lineages, virtuous and with children—and to convey Yudhiṣṭhira’s gracious inquiry about their welfare, maintaining bonds and decorum during the tense pre-war period.
