This line is not a doctrinal verse but a colophon. Its function is to authenticate and locate the narrative—reminding the reader that the ethical discussions and actions belong to a specific parva, sub-episode (Ambā’s story), and a named speech segment (Arjuna’s), within the larger dharma-centered epic.
The narrative action pauses: the chapter concludes. The colophon states that the text has reached the end of the 194th chapter in the Udyoga Parva, specifically within the Ambā-upākhyāna section and the portion labeled as Arjuna’s speech.
