Drupada’s Alarm and Inquiry Regarding Śikhaṇḍinī (द्रुपदस्य भय-विमर्शः)
उद्धरिष्यामि ते सद्यः: सामात्यसुतबान्धवम् | “राजन! वीरवर राजा हिरण्यवर्माने जो संदेश दिया है
uddhariṣyāmi te sadyaḥ sāmātya-suta-bāndhavam |
«Eu te derrubarei de imediato—com teus ministros, teus filhos e teus parentes!» assim proclamou. «Ó rei! Ouve a mensagem que o rei Hiraṇyavarman enviou. Ó soberano pecador, de juízo corrompido! Fui enganado por tua filha. Esse pecado foste tu quem o cometeu; portanto, sofre o seu fruto. Ó senhor dos homens! Vem ao campo de batalha e dá-me ocasião de lutar. Arrancarei pela raiz toda a tua linhagem—com ministros, filhos e consanguíneos—sem deixar remanescente.»
