ततो दिवि महान् नाद: प्रादुरासीत्ू समन्ततः,उस समय आकाशमें चारों ओर बड़ा कोलाहल होने लगा। इसी समय मैंने जमदग्निकुमारपर वायव्यास्त्रका प्रयोग किया। भारत! परशुरामजीने गुह्ुकास्त्रद्वारा मेरे उस अस्त्रको शान्त कर दिया
tato divi mahān nādaḥ prādurāsīt samantataḥ | tasminn eva kāle mayā jamadagnikumāre vāyavyāstrasya prayogaḥ kṛtaḥ | bhārata paraśurāmaḥ guhūkāstreṇa mama tad astram upaśamayāmāsa |
Então, no céu, por todos os lados, surgiu de súbito um grande bramido. Naquele mesmo instante lancei a arma Vāyavya contra o filho de Jamadagni. Ó Bharata, Paraśurāma apaziguou esse meu projétil por meio da arma Guhūka.
