भीष्म–जामदग्न्यसंवादः (Amba-prasaṅga and Kurukṣetra Dvandva Declaration) / Bhishma–Jamadagnya Dialogue
ते समासाद्य मां रौद्रा बहुधा मर्मभेदिन: । अकम्पयन् महावेगा: सर्पानलविषोपमा:
te samāsādya māṁ raudrā bahudhā marmabhedinaḥ | akampayan mahāvegāḥ sarpānalaviṣopamāḥ ||
Aproximando-se de mim, aqueles dardos ferozes—numerosos e voltados a perfurar os pontos vitais—atingiram-me repetidas vezes. Seu ímpeto era tremendo; pareciam serpentes, pareciam fogo, pareciam veneno. Pelo impacto, meu corpo estremeceu, enquanto a crueldade da batalha me apertava por todos os lados.
