Bhishma–Dhritarashtra Dialogue: Appraisal of Pandava Strength
This line is a colophon (chapter-ending notice), not a teaching verse. Its function is to mark the completion of Adhyāya 166 and to locate it within the Udyoga Parva and the Rathātirathasaṅkhyāna sub-section, emphasizing the text’s organization around the impending war and its leading warriors.
The narrative pauses for a formal closure: the editor/tradition signals that the chapter has ended within the Udyoga Parva’s ‘Rathātirathasaṅkhyāna’ portion, which concerns identifying and classifying major chariot-warriors in the lead-up to the Kurukṣetra war.
