Kaurava Mobilization at Kurukṣetra (Duryodhana Orders War Preparations) /
Greed and sinful intent (lubdha, pāpacetas) are highlighted as moral failings that invite ruin; the verse underscores that ethical corruption weakens one’s standing, even when worldly power seems great.
Vaiśaṃpāyana, narrating the events of the Udyoga Parva, emphasizes the formidable battle-power present among the warriors—enough to frighten even Indra—thereby implying that the greedy, wicked-minded sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra are certainly not beyond being defeated.
